“Bill, Thank you so much for all that you did to help us find the perfect house! We are so happy with the one we ended up with, thank you so much for all of your hard work! You were so amazing to work with and we will be singing your praises to everyone we know! … You are so on top of things, I can’t imagine any Realtor being better at their job! Thanks again for everything. Keep in touch. -Nicole & Ryan P.S. You had better be the first to come and see our new kitchen!” – Nicole & Ryan, Upper Arlington Buyers, 2012
“Mark Talis of Gledhill Robbins & Talis is the bestest in the midwestest I kid you not. My husband and I moved to Ohio from Washington DC. This pastSpring we entertained the notion of buying a house, but living in DC (our current mortgage including taxes and insurance is LESS than what we paid in rent!) we knew that it just wasn’t a possibility.
Fast forward a couple of months and personal/family crises later, we decide to move back to Ohio to be near family. As first time homebuyers, we had absolutely NO clue what we were doing. God cl
early sent us Mark because in a down housing market and economy like this, its a wonder that we weren’t eaten alive and taken advantage of by subpar or no par realtors. We looked online for houses in our price range and one weekend I tentatively sent out email inquiries to listing agents hoping to see the houses. It took two days before I responded to the onslaught of voicemails and emails that ensued. I was so overwhelmed by the response. And everyone sounded so nice! How in the world do you choose a realtor?! My husband and I couldn’t rely on referrals since we don’t know anyone in Columbus. Just as I was freaking out and trying to schedule individual appointments with each seperate realtor, Mark contacts me and says, “Sure I’ll show my listing. Would you like to see a couple other ones as well?” Yes please! Exactly what I needed. Someone to take charge. I figured I could also gauge whether or not Mark could figure out our tastes. He did that and more. He treated us like we had a budget 100K more than we did. Closing was last week. It was effortless and went smoothly. Mark was organized and honest throughout the entire process. Once we are ready for a houseful of kids, we will be back to use him as our seller and hopefully a home even more awesome than this one! This is our first home and we will remember the homebuying process for the rest of our lives. I’m so happy that Mark will be part of those memories. We seriously couldn’t have done it without him. Oh and did I mention that due to work schedules we could ONLY look at houses on Saturdays? Mark goes HARD. He gave up his Saturdays this summer, for us! This guy. Snag him for your realtor!” - Megan T., Schumacher Place buyer, August 2011
“Moving in from out of State puts particular pressure on buying a home. You have limited time to pick a place, you are not available to be there during a build out to keep an eye on the contractor and communication through the process is critical given the distance involved. There are so many homes on the market you really need a pro to help filter the selection to what you are really looking for and Bill was fantastic. He listened well to our wants and needs, watched us as we reacted to our first showings and adjusted what we saw appropriately, not wasting our time. Once the selection was made he was available by phone every time we called, no voice mail or secretaries. He has an extraordinary eye for décor and helped us pick finishes. He spent time every week during the build out of our unit, sending us pictures and monitoring the contractor’s progress. I felt very comfortable not being there knowing what he was doing. I have moved 9 times in the last 25 years and Bill is the best realtor I have ever had.” – Erich W., Marble Cliff buyer, April, 2011
“Terra, We want to thank you so much for helping us purchase our first home! We feel that we not only found a great Realtor but that we made a wonderful friend. Your enthusiasm is amazing and was so helpful during the times that we became discouraged. It was hard to stay focused while making one of the most important and stressful decisions in our lives, but you helped us get through it. Your knowledge, experience, honesty, kindness, and patience made our home buying experience so much easier. Thanks again for all that you did for us!” -Brent and Rachel
“Bill Robbins is not your standard real estate resource – he is extraordinary. I didn’t find him through a recommendation either, because I am new to Columbus. But my first contact with Bill (about a listing of his on the internet) developed quickly into a solid partnership, based on all the things you look for but don’t always find. He quickly grasped what we were looking for (without much explaining on our part), watched our pocketbook (didn’t want us to buy a lovely, but over-improved home), was responsive and worked around our schedule – not his, saw us through the buying process including finding and scheduling workmen for improvements before we moved in, and was always light and easy to be around. Bill’s knowledge of the market is deep, he is highly networked, and he works really hard. And then Bill did what really counts – he found the right home for us, one that wasn’t even on the market at the time. A caution: Bill has a big voice (and I say that with great affection) – he’s just so energetic, he can’t be otherwise! Bill Robbins is the realtor we will go back to – like many of his other clients. And in my mind, that’s the best confirmation you can ask, for how good he is.” – Karen L., Merion Village buyer, March, 2011
